Serve God first and the rest will follow

With 0 Comments, Category: Thanksgiving,

My husband, Norman Hayde worked for a company for 18 years here in the UK. He is a Design Consultant, designing kitchens and bathrooms and was very successful.

Then COVID 19 happened. Norman was furloughed for 3 months. In July, 20% of Design Consultants in the UK were made redundant. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect all this. It was a bit of a shock for us initially but we truly believed God has something good in store for Norman.

Like the whole world, COVID 19 changed many lives, brought people together and millions of people came closer to God. Norman and I were always in ministry serving and proclaiming God through every opportunity and were even full-time missionaries. We got back to attending online zoom prayer meetings. Norman once again began sharing the Word and both of us rededicated our lives to the ministry through prayer and intercession. Norman started applying for jobs mainly as a design consultant. I asked Bro. Derrick to pray for this intention.  Family, friends and different groups we attend on zoom also prayed for Norman.

Norman got a call from one company and was interviewed on Zoom on Tuesday. Friends and family were praying and interceding for Norman during this time and he was offered the job the next day. This was the only call he got back regarding a job, the only interview he gave and got offered the job. How amazing and beautiful is that! Only our Lord can do that! The job is flexible which means he can work according to his availability and he can continue to serve God and attend zoom prayer meetings.

God is indeed great and honored! Norman’s love for God and desire is to ‘Serve God first and the rest will follow’.  This is the sentence that he included at the end of his CV.

Praise God!

Marina Hayde, UK
